Odex 90 system casing 127 for well drilling;Symmetric / Concentric Overburden Casing Drilling System
For small-hole sizes, Prodrill produces the ODEX Eccentric Overburden Drilling System, starting with the ODEX90 to suit 127mm O.D. casings. This two-piece system comprises the shanked bit holder and the eccentric pilot bit that is secured in the bit holder by a double interlocking pin. This is easily removed to allow for bit re sharpening or replacement. Prodemo ODEX overburden drilling systems are widely used in a variety of applications from well drilling and minipilling to rock anchoring and site investigation.
prodemo symmentric overburden drilling system drill straight and comparably deep holes and has to withstand the toughest conditions.therefore the system is designed for easy withdrawal of the pilot bit,hammer,and drill drill pipes leaving the casing and ring bit in the ground whereas the rest of the system can be reused.
Prodrill's Symmetric Casing Drilling System is designed to drill holes of many sizes, ranging from 108 to 863mm (4 1/4 to 34 in), at any angle (including horizontal), to any depth (beyond 100 meters) through unconsolidated formations simultaneously with casing. The internal flushing grooves together with the built-in casing shoes gives a good seal to the button of the drilling hole, and thus minimizing the disruption of the surrounding of the drill hole. It makes the casing follow easy and the equipment and operation simple, and is recommended to a multitude of applications, such as micro-piling, underpinning, anchoring, marine work and horizontal drilling etc.
It is suitable for drilling water wells , geothermal wells , short mircopiles ,medium mini-type grouting hole of building , dam and harbour project .
1. When drilling starts , the reamer swings out and reams the pilot-hole wide enough for the casing tube to slide down behind the drill bit assembly
2. When the required depth is reached , rotation is reversed carefully, whereupon the reamer swings in , allowing the drill bit assembly to be pulled up through the casing.
3. Casing tubes that are to be left in the drill hole should be sealed at the bottom of the hole by means of cement grout or some other sealing agent.
4. Drilling continues to the desired depth in the bedrock using a conventional drilling.
